I'M SO ON CLOUD NINE.

I got back from Anime Matsuri a few hours ago and I can't believe the weekend I had...

There was a shit ton of drama, but them's the breaks. There had to be drama to make up for my experiences with QUINTON FLYNN HOOOOOLY SHIIIIIT. -swoon-

Haaaaah. Like I said, I'm in quite the euphoric mood. So I'll now pretend like all of you are entranced by what I do and don't and describe my weekend! Whoo!

Friday: Arrived at the con as Rikku from FFX. The cosplay came out great! Always room for improvement, of course, but I'm happy and love it nonetheless! After a short photoshoot with some other final fantasy people, Lanni (in Rabi~en~Rose) and I went upstairs to change into our second cosplay, that of My Melody and Kuromi in human form. It was so cute!!!! I'll be posting pictures of both these cosplays when I can get them from people... Yay!!!! We got lots of pictures taken and it was fabulous~!! We raved with our Tospy Turvy group as our Nobodies, which was fun! The rave had awesome music, the DJs they got this year were fabulous...

Saturday: XIGBAH DAY~! So we got up and cosplayed Xigbar and Demyx, which was fun as usual! We went to a Crispen Friedman panel, and who knew a man that beautiful and /white/ could voice such a devastatingly sexy Rude? IT WAS DELIGHTFUL. But anyways, we hung around in Xigbar and Demyx for a while before heading up to change into our sexy Yin Yang (I was yin, Lanni yang: a fun combo) for the Quinton Flynn panel!! We went, waited at the front of the line for half an hour, and then entered... MY LIFE IS EFFING COMPLETE. BTW, for those of you there, yes, I know, I've told this story a ridiculous amount of times, but can you blame me? So Quinton is doing his thing, answering questions, so I raise my hand (we're sitting in the front row in our sexy loli outfits) and ask him the following question: "Do you have a certain process for coming up with the voices for each of your characters?"
At which point his answer marks itself as the epitome of my life.
"What is my inspiration for these characters? Well... you." His voice is now in that sexy Axel tone, and I'm quickly turning bright fucking red. "All I have to do is... Think of that garter, that... short skirt, those... pumps and that low cut shirt and it just comes to me!" At which point I'm writhing in my chair and he's laughing, "But no, really, you're a lovely girl. I sit down with the director etc. etc. etc."
I swear I won't stop grinning for the next three weeks.
So we go up after the panel ends to buy shirts that he signs them and we then bee-line it to the dealer's room where he'll be doing signatures. I buy a potion with Reno on it, my previously purchased poster in hand, and head to the table. After waiting 40 minutes we finally get to him, and he greets me with, "Oh, hey! It's my garter girl!"
I swoon yet again.
So I get my stuff signed, thank him, and he winks and thanks me for being the inspiration for all of his characters. Oh, that voice. Haaaaaa....So we take pictures and head out.
After dropping off our stuff we head down and the Miyavi concert that was supposed to start 2 hours ago... has not started. Of course. We skipped out on that one, because the line went around the building and it was cold... But the rave that night was epic! Again, Club AM is unbeatable. They throw the best raves!

Sunday: Did my Rikku cosplay again. It was a fairly uneventful day, aside from spotting Quinton in the dealer's room setting up stuff for an impromptu autograph session. We trot over, because in the panel he wasn't able to do many lines of either Axel or Reno, and we wanted a specific line. So we go up, "Can we bother you a bit?" He says of course, as no one else is around, and we ask him to say Reno's line, "Oh, good..." from AC when Reno and Rude are on the bridge. Consider my pelvis melted. Permanently. So I got my badge signed too (Go Garter Girl!), he winks at me (pelvis even more melted) and we head off towards the hall to say goodbyes.

A fantastic con overall, and I love and miss everyone that was there!!!!
We got so many pictures taken, and I had a blast with my friends! I'll be posting pictures soon~ And now I have to suffer through after-con depression... Haven't dealt with this in a while, as the past few cons have been... I dunno, lacking in their usual epic. But ahhh... Quinton.
